Universal Testing Machine Floor-standing, 600 kN
Floor-standing 600 kN (134,885 lbf) UTM with 1,500 mm travel, for testing structural elements and high-strength cables.

The MBIOII-600-M2 doubles the capacity of the 300 kN model, reaching 600 kN (134,885 lbf), while keeping the 1,500 mm vertical travel and a 605 mm test space width.
In this load range, the machine handles acceptance testing in steel mills, qualification of large structural elements and tensile tests on high-strength cables and tie rods, applications in which the breaking force exceeds what the smaller models can withstand.
At 1,500 kg and 11,200 W on three-phase power, it is dedicated laboratory equipment, with the same installed power as the 1,000 kN model.

What the MBIOII-600-M2 tests in practice
Estimated breaking force of common test specimens, compared with the 600 kN (134,885 lbf) capacity of this model. The estimate is the cross-sectional area times the typical strength of the material.

|---|---|---|
| Rubber, ISO 37 type 1 dumbbell (6 × 2 mm, up to 25 MPa) | 0.3 kN | Suitable |
| Plastic, ISO 527 type 1A specimen (10 × 4 mm, up to 70 MPa) | 2.8 kN | Suitable |
| Steel sheet, 12.5 × 1 mm (400 MPa) | 5 kN | Suitable |
| 10 mm CA-50 rebar (Brazilian rebar grade), tension | 47 kN | Suitable |
| Mortar, 4 × 4 cm half-prism in compression (up to 40 MPa) | 64 kN | Suitable |

| 25 mm CA-50 rebar, tension | 295 kN | Suitable |
| 32 mm CA-50 rebar, tension | 483 kN | Near limit |
Near limit: above 80% of capacity, with no margin for a material stronger than expected. Below range: less than 2% of the smallest load cell of the model (10 kN (2,248 lbf)). Reference values; the actual material may vary. How to calculate it for your specimen is explained in the universal testing machine guide.

Frequently asked questions
Common questions about this model. For further information, contact our technical team.
What is the difference between the 600 kN and the 300 kN models?
Capacity doubles, from 300 to 600 kN. Weight rises from 1,220 to 1,500 kg and installed power from 5,600 to 11,200 W. Vertical travel remains 1,500 mm, and the test space width goes from 650 mm to 605 mm.
What applications justify this load range?
Tests in which the breaking force exceeds the reach of the smaller models: tie rods and anchors, high-strength cables, lifting components, large-section forged parts and structural weld qualification.
What electrical installation is required?
A three-phase 220 V, 60 Hz supply with 11,200 W of installed power. We recommend assessing the laboratory's electrical panel beforehand, since the demand is the same as the 1,000 kN model.
Can the machine be used for intermediate-load tests?
Yes. The load cells are interchangeable, from 10 kN to 600 kN. By installing a load cell matched to the expected load, measurement resolution is preserved even well below the rated capacity.
What space and floor are required?
A base of 880 × 1,215 mm, a height of 2,400 mm and a weight of 1,500 kg. It requires a level industrial floor with a compatible load capacity and a ceiling height that allows access to the upper crosshead.
Which load cells can be used on the MBIOII-600-M2?
The interchangeable load cells for this model range from 10 kN (2,248 lbf) to 600 kN (134,885 lbf): 10 kN (2,248 lbf), 50 kN (11,240 lbf), 100 kN (22,481 lbf), 200 kN (44,962 lbf), 300 kN (67,443 lbf), 600 kN (134,885 lbf). Using the load cell whose capacity is closest to the test force keeps the measurement within the verified range, with class 1 accuracy per ISO 7500-1:2023 (ABNT NBR ISO 7500-1:2023 in Brazil).
What is the test speed range of the MBIOII-600-M2?
From 0.02 to 500 mm/min. The speed for each test is set by the material standard and programmed in the BioLab software, which also supports constant or variable force tests and stepwise cyclic tests.
