Biopdi MBIOII-300-M2 floor-standing universal testing machine, 300 kN

The MBIOII-300-M2 is the first floor-standing model in the line. Weighing 1,220 kg, it rests directly on the floor and needs no bench.

Its 300 kN (67,443 lbf) capacity and 650 mm test space width, the widest in the entire line, cover tensile tests on large-diameter rebar, steel wire ropes, chains and structural elements for civil construction and metallurgy.

It is also the first model to require a three-phase 220 V power supply, with 5,600 W of power. Check this requirement against the laboratory's electrical installation before purchase.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about this model. For further information, contact our technical team.

What changes in a floor-standing model compared with tabletop models?

The machine rests directly on the floor on its own frame and does not depend on a bench, which is necessary for the model's 1,220 kg. In return, it requires a level industrial floor and three-phase power.

What electrical installation is required?

A three-phase 220 V, 60 Hz supply with 5,600 W of installed power. The MBIOII-300-M2 is the first model in the line to require three-phase power, and this must be checked against the laboratory's electrical panel before purchase.

Does this model have the widest test space in the line?

Yes. Its 650 mm of horizontal space is the largest of all models, even larger than that of the 600 and 1,000 kN machines, whose sturdier frames reduce the clear space between columns.

Is it suitable for acceptance testing at construction sites and steel mills?

Yes. The 300 kN capacity covers tensile tests on large-diameter rebar, steel wire ropes, chains, anchors and structural steel elements, the usual range for acceptance control of these materials.

What floor is required for installation?

A level industrial floor able to support 1,220 kg distributed over an 840 × 1,300 mm base. The machine is 2,300 mm tall, which requires a compatible ceiling height for operation.

Which load cells can be used on the MBIOII-300-M2?

The interchangeable load cells for this model range from 5 kN (1,124 lbf) to 300 kN (67,443 lbf): 5 kN (1,124 lbf), 10 kN (2,248 lbf), 20 kN (4,496 lbf), 50 kN (11,240 lbf), 100 kN (22,481 lbf), 200 kN (44,962 lbf), 300 kN (67,443 lbf). Using the load cell whose capacity is closest to the test force keeps the measurement within the verified range, with class 1 accuracy per ISO 7500-1:2023 (ABNT NBR ISO 7500-1:2023 in Brazil).

What is the test speed range of the MBIOII-300-M2?

From 0.02 to 500 mm/min. The speed for each test is set by the material standard and programmed in the BioLab software, which also supports constant or variable force tests and stepwise cyclic tests.
