Universal Testing Machine Dual column, 100 to 200 kN

Available in 100, 150 or 200 kN (22,481 to 44,962 lbf), with a 605 mm test space width: the largest benchtop model in the line.

Biopdi MBIOII-200-M2 dual-column universal testing machine
Biopdi MBIOII-200-M2 universal testing machine, 100 to 200 kN

The MBIOII-200-M2 covers the 100 to 200 kN (22,481 to 44,962 lbf) range and, in the M2 line, replaces the former 10,000 kgf (98 kN) benchtop and floor-standing models.

The 605 mm test space width and 1,500 mm vertical stroke accommodate large test specimens such as bars, rebar, structural profiles and welded assemblies. Its capacity covers the tensile and compression tests required in steel industry and civil construction quality control.

At 760 kg and 2,305 mm tall, it is the largest model still classified as benchtop. Above it, the line moves to floor-standing models, which require a three-phase power supply.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about this model. For further information, contact our technical team.

Does this model replace the 10,000 kgf machine from the previous line?

Yes. The MBIOII-200-M2 covers 100 to 200 kN (22,481 to 44,962 lbf) and replaces the former 10,000 kgf (98 kN) models, both the benchtop and the floor-standing versions.

Can it be used for tensile testing of rebar and steel bars?

Yes, it is one of its main applications. The 605 mm test space width and 1,500 mm vertical stroke accommodate large test specimens, and the range of up to 200 kN covers the acceptance tests required on construction sites and in steel industry quality control.

What floor and space does the machine require?

It has a footprint of 680 × 1,160 mm, stands 2,305 mm tall and weighs 760 kg. It requires a level floor with adequate load capacity, but no special foundation or anchoring.

Does it require a three-phase power supply?

No. Despite its 3,000 W, the MBIOII-200-M2 runs on 220 V single-phase, 60 Hz. It is the highest-capacity model in the line that still does not need three-phase power, which is mandatory from the 300 kN model upward.

Can the machine be used for low-force tests?

Yes. The load cells are interchangeable and range from 1 kN to 200 kN. Using a load cell sized for the expected force preserves measurement resolution even in tests far below the rated capacity.

In which capacities is the MBIOII-200-M2 offered?

Available in 100 kN, 150 kN or 200 kN (22,481 lbf, 33,722 lbf, 44,962 lbf). The frame is the same across all 3 capacities, with the same stroke, test space width and dimensions; the choice starts from the highest force the lab needs to measure.

Which load cells can be used on the MBIOII-200-M2?

The interchangeable load cells for this model range from 1 kN (225 lbf) to 200 kN (44,962 lbf): 1 kN (225 lbf), 5 kN (1,124 lbf), 10 kN (2,248 lbf), 20 kN (4,496 lbf), 50 kN (11,240 lbf), 100 kN (22,481 lbf), 200 kN (44,962 lbf). Using the load cell whose capacity is closest to the test force keeps the measurement within the verified range, with class 1 accuracy per ISO 7500-1:2023 (ABNT NBR ISO 7500-1:2023 in Brazil).

What is the test speed range of the MBIOII-200-M2?

From 0.02 to 500 mm/min. The speed for each test is set by the material standard and programmed in the BioLab software, which also supports constant or variable force tests and stepwise cyclic tests.
